Joyce goes 11.08

Whilst the rest of us were sleeping on Saturday night, Joyce Wolfe was flying round her first Ironman in Western Australia. We haven't got a full report yet but Joyce's splits were 1.04, 5.56 and 4.01 - add in transitions and that gave her a fantastic 11.08 debut. Much deserved after many long hours of hard training over the last few cold winter months!

Thousands of miles away and in temperatures about 30 degrees colder Pete and Harry tackled the Devon Cross Country Championships at Exeter Arena. It turned into a slog through ankle deep mud on much of the course. Kev Heywood was in a class of his own and won by miles with Pete and Harry finishing just behind the 2nd group in 6th and 8th.

On a final note, places for the January swim camp and Big Weekend are going fast so get your entries in now if you plan on coming along.
