Last weekend saw Kate take 3rd Women at the Hungerford Duathlon (triathlon cancelled due to snow) whilst down the road at Swindon Barry managed to pull off 8th in his age group and 38th overall in the national series Duathlon. Barry had a cumulative run improvment of over 3 minutes from last years race despite being hit by a car and breaking his thumb whilst warming up teh day before hand. Barry went on to finish 9th in his age group and 46th overall at the National Championships in Milton Keynes today. Both Kate and Barry have been working hard on their swimming over the winter, so the competition had better watch out when the triathlons start!!
I had a go at 3km on the track last weekend and running in the snow without Pete for competiton managed to clock up my first track win of the year. There is even talk of a Driven To Tri apperance at the National Elite duathlon next weekend. We have got alot to live up to with the way our athletes are going!!
