Wow, it's summer!!

Lots of driven to triathletes in action this weekend. Pete kicked off his season using the Exe Valley Tri as a warm up for next weekends French Grand Prix, he won by over 3 minutes. As I've (Harry) been concentrating on my running I opted for the Devon County Track and field champs where I won the senior Mens 5km, (I won't talk about the time).

On international duty Patrick and Fiona travelled to Lisbon to represent GB and Ireland respectively at the European Championships in Portugal. Patrick's slip and banged head at the swim start made for an eventful first few hundred meters but once out of the water he set about tracking down the faster swimmers on his brand spanking new Planet X! Recording the 2nd fastest run split in his age, he dragged himself up to finish 16th in his age group.

Fiona had a great swim, coming out of the water in just under 28 mins which was much faster than expected. A strong bike followed by a very respectable run considering previous injuries, saw her finish 11th in her age group and most importantly the first Irish female home across all age groups.

On the domestic front, Lorne was in action at Stratford (the largest pool based Tri in the country). He managed to bag a top 25 finish, running more than 3 minutes faster than last year.

We have also been finalising our Driven to Tri camp dates for next winter, so check back soon to see details on the website!!
